Jennifer Lopez flaunted her abs and nerves of steel at LAX when some idiot -- actually a clown -- attacked her ... with a handful of confetti.

J.Lo was doing her thing in the airport on Tuesday -- strolling and looking damn good -- when the guy in full clown face doused her. It would be totally normal for Lopez to jump back, or even flinch ... but you gotta see her reaction.

The offending clown is no random idiot -- his name is Richie the Barber, and you might recall ... he pulled this same stunt last year on Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

They pressed charges against Richie. It's unclear if J.Lo will have a sense of humor, or do the same.
