Marilyn Manson, born Brian Warner, came onto the scene in the 90s, and his provocative lyrics, grizzled vocals, and edgy stage presence, instantly drove music fans, and parents, wild (for different reasons, obviously.) The ‘Antichrist Superstar’ singer was marked as a bad influence on youth, a label he seemed to relish in. Of course, his look was just as controversial.

In the early days, he donned thick eyeliner and painted his skin ghost pale while rocking androgynous, industrial ensembles. Through the years, however, the shock rocker has toned things down, masking his face with hats and sunglasses instead of makeup. In recent years, he’s tried to keep a low profile amid multiple abuse accusations.

Here, the shock rocker appears at the premiere of ‘Halloween’ on Oct. 17, 2018. He was looking bare-faced, with a hat and sunglasses hiding his face.
